CHOC Health Alliance members should notify the health plan of their pregnancies right away so we may enroll you in CHOC Health Alliance Prenatal Support Services (PSS) ^TM program. Simply send an e-mail message or call the Member Solutions Department. Click on the Contact Us page on this website to find out how.

CHOC Health Alliance Prenatal Support Services (PSS) is a special program to help you stay healthy throughout your pregnancy and make sure you get the health care services you need.

If a member is pregnant, she can expect:

• Education on nutrition, stages of pregnancy, fitness, childbirth preparation, sibling preparation and what mom can expect once the baby is born
• Regular medical care during and after pregnancy
• Information, if needed, on supplemental nutrition programs such as WIC, dental care, child health services and family planning
• The opportunity for pregnant women – newly enrolled with CHOC Health Alliance – to remain with the doctor they were seeing before they enrolled, even if that doctor is not part of CHOC Health Alliance’s network of providers. They can continue to see that doctor until their babies are born.
